Magic of the morris men
Magic of the morris men
http://www.cleethorpespeople.co.uk/Magic-morris-men/story-14370145-detail/story.html
I must try and catch up with some of this next year. I last saw Morris Men in Cleethorpes outside the lakeside Station of the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway.
And the only time I've been to the Beacon Hill allotments was to an open day at the Observatory.

Currys started in the Louth in 1904 as a cycle shop called Louth Cycle Company. The original shop was at 106 Eastgate, Louth. There is a plaque in the wall outside the shop that shows the address as 102 1/2 Eastgate.

Portrait of Van Gogh in Grimsby
BBC News has now picked upon the portrait of Van Gogh on display at the Abbey Walk Gallery in Grimsby
You can read more about the portrait here - "THE MISUNDERSTOOD" by Jeanne Donnadieu".
For me the most telling evidence is that the artist lived just four doors away from Vincent van Gogh. Apart from the likelihood that the portrait is of van Gogh, it is a beautiful portrait, well worth a view!
