BBC News - Call for £200m Humber estuary flood scheme
"In order to try to safeguard properties the scheme would see the banks of the
estuary raised to protect communities."
Of course we don't want to see properties flooded. But how would these flood defences affect the viability of seaside resorts along the Humber estuary?

"ELDC plan to demolish our INN on The Park (Skegness Pavillion) building which has been a part of Skegness since 1879. It was given to the people of Skegness by the Earl of Scarborough but It has been abandoned since 2008 and the Council have shown absolutely no interest in it. The building is of Historical Interest to Skegness and is unique yet plans are afoot to demolish it...WE NEED TO ACT NOW... we need to keep this wonderful building with its rich history alive..."
