BBC News - Grass verge wildlife 'destroyed by councils'

"Councils in the UK are destroying wildlife habitats by cutting grass verges too often, a charity has warned."

Madness!  Flower beds and grass in Cleethorpes are being dug up and gravelled over to cut maintenance costs.  And other councils are mowing grass too frequently

Perhaps a code of good practice for local authorities is needed.
